Auckland, soluble for the »cco modation of the Customs, Land, and Native Departments o( that city. The cost of the Building U not to exceed twelve thousand pounds sterling (£12,000). No plan will be approved until the tender for it is accepted, a.nd the tender will be only accepted after the expenditure is authorised by Parliament. A premium of one hundred pounds (£100) will be given for the plan approved, which will then become the property of the Government. The Government will not necessarily be bound to employ the same Architect on the construction of the Building. Firstly—The BERHAMPORE TANNERY, comprises Sections 101 f, and parts of Sections 1011, 1014. and 1015, on plan of tin City of Wellington, containing 3 ace« (more or less), is distant two and a-hnlf miles from the Queen's Wharf, and within half-mile from the tramway terminus. The Tannery has been established nearly forty years. As a tannery sUn it is unsurpassed in New Zealand. There is a never-failing supply of clear water from a running stream. No recourse to artificial means for drying is necessary. The drainage is carried into Cook s ■ traits, therefore at ■ o time can it become a nuisance. The buildings, which are of two ttoiies, are built partly of wood and partly of iron, comprise 4 stock rooms, press rooms. 2 clicking rooms, wax thread machine and eye- ettirjg room, upper machinists' room, 2 rivet rooms, ft if hers' room, couating-houM, secretary's room. &c, *a, and contain all the most modern improvements in labour-saving machinery. The manufacturing plant is one of the most complete in the colony. The goods turned out have commanded a reidy sale, and for style and finish cannot be excelled. Also, The goodwill of the said business. Secondly—All the Plant, Machinery, Engines, and implements ei umerated in a list attached to the conditions of sale, and situate on the said Factory premises. Thirdly—The Ptook-ia-Trade, Leather, Boot*, Shoes, Grindery, and Sundries, in the Boot Factory hi the lime fixed by the conditions of sale for taking stock. Lot 3.
