He put oat some of the gas lights, and generally behaved in a disorderly manner. ... ; v OAMARD, Monday. \ A large meeting of farmers was held on : Saturday to take into consideration the action of the millers who recently advertised their intention of buying grain on the ewne terms and usages as executed in Dunedin. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution to the effect that the price of grain is the net cash price, and that the bags containing the grain are paid for extra, except in such cases as the terms may be otherwise arranged between the buyer and seller. The merchants stand aloof from the arrangement, and the opinion was expressed at the: meeting that farmers should only deal with those who do business on the terms that have existed in the past. ■ ' There .689 entries for the ram and ew* fair, which takes place on the 12th March. Some alarm was occasioned in the cricket ground last evening by the conduct of a Mr. Fulton, who, while under the influence. of liquor, discharged a revolver three or four times. He. was charged at the City Court to-day with drunkenness, when it wm stated by the police vthat for the safety of the public they had deemed it advisable, to retain the revolver.
