The Union Co.'s steamship Te Anau is due here from Ruaaell early this morning, and at ten a.m. she is to leave again on her annual excursion given to the children of the various charitable institutions. The steamer is a most commodious one, and in every way should suit the requirements of the trip. The steamer is to go from here to the beautiful island of Motutapu, where the children are to be landed. The general public and iriends of the children will be permitted to join in the trip upon payment of the, sum of :!s 6d for the round trip. Should the weather be fine a moat enjoyable trip may. be anticipated. The U.S.S. Co.'s e.s. Arawata left Welling ton early yesterday morning with 41 bags of mail matter for Auckland," per Royal Mail steamer Rimutaki. The Arawata is due early to-morrow. ' * '? The B.e.
