Supplying uniforms as per specification, all of which roust be made of material manufactured in New Zealand, samples of which are to be submitted with each tender; and for miking up only, material being supplied by the Department, in tho latter case tenderers to specify the quantity of cloth required for each garment. Patterns of the various uniforms and specification can be seen by Intending tendtrers at the Volunteer Office. Auckland. Each tender must be accompanied by a cheque for twenty-flve pounds (£26) sterling marked by a banker as good for twenty-one (21) day*, and made payable to the Receivi r-Genoral only and not to bearer, as a guarantee that the tend- will be taken up. The successful tend.ier *111 require to find two sureties, to bo approved by tho Hon. Defence Minister, for the sum of five hundred pounds (£500) sterling each for the due fulfilment of the contract. The Government may accept a tender for either supplying the.whole or psrt of the uniform s, or for making up only, or ui»y decline to accpt any tender.
