HOSPITAL SQUABBLE AT CHRISTCHURCH.
[by telegraph.—press association.] Christchdrch, Friday. Dr. Nekdwill, who resigned his position on the Hospital staff, in consequence of an alleged breach of rules in Dr. Stewart's performing a serious operation without consultation with the other members, refused to attend a meeting of the staff, to whom the matter had been referred by the Hospital Board, A special meeting of the Board was held to-day, when a letter from Dr. Needwill, protesting against the staff conducting an enquiry, and requeßtiug the Board to hold one itself, was read. Dr. Turn bull proposed to refer the matter to the Government for Dr. Grabham to report. Ultimately the Board decided to hold a public enquiry on Tuesday next.
