The first business before the meeting -was to receive letters >from the gentlemen who had been «sked to act as judges -at- the -society's jfcow,' io be held at the Drill-shed on Friday and Saturday, the 21eta«d 22nd 'of thie month. ■'■ Moat of those invited have accepted the aociety'e invitation, and arrangements man mad* to complete the list by inviting other "gentlemen to act in the room of those who may not be able to attend. Auckland merchants and tradesmen have subscribed for special prizes with their usual liberality, and this liat will no .doubt serve to stimulate exhibitors, and loewell ;the number of retries. ■ Entriee close on Tuesday, November 18;»t three'p.in.,' to the hon.
