MR. THORNE'S ACTION AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRBSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. • Mr. Thorne, late of the Government Insurance Department,, .has retained Mr. Edward Shaw in his action claiming £5000 damages against the Government for breach of contract. Messrs. Buckley, Stafford, and Fitzherbert and Mr. "R. Stout have been retained for the defence.
