THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.

[keoter's telegrams.] London, May 13. The cricket match, Australians v. Lord Sheffield's Eleven, •was continued and concluded at Sheffield to-day. The visitors with 4 wickets down for 172 resumed their first innings, which closed for a total of 212. The highest scores to-day were—Bannerman, c, 94, and Blaokham, b, 31. The home team then commenced their second innings, and were all disposed of for 120, the visitors thereby winning the match by an innings and 6 runs. The bowling of the Australians was dead on, and the wickets fell rapidly, Giffen taking 4 for 70. The principal scorers were —W. G. Grace, b, 30 ; Barnes, c, 34 j and Mycroft, c, 18. There was again a large attendance of spectators, and splendid weather was experienced. A Press Association message says : The Daily Telegraph eulogises the Australian cricketers in their play against Lord Sheffield's team.
