THE FOOTBALL TRIP TO SYDNEY.
The committee of the Rugby Union met at Tilly's last night, and the following business re Auckland contingent for Sydney was transacted. Mr. Webster intimated that he had been unable to obtain leavo of abseuce, and Mr. F. Clayton also sent in word that he would not be able to go. Aftor discussion it was resolved that Measrs. 6. Carter and J. Lecky should go in the place ot tho gentlemen named. The Auckland division is now ae follows :—T. O'Connor, G. Carter, J. Lecky, forwards ; and T. Ryan and J. Warbrick, backs. The men leave for Wellington, where tho team will rendezvous, on Thursday next, at noon, per the b.s. Ringarooma. All the expenses of tho men to and from Wellington have been arranged tor. The management of the trip provide blue jerseys, but tho team will require to find their own stockings and blue knickers. The dispute botween the Auckland and Albert Clubs re match of last Saturday also came up. A committoe was appointed, and it was resolved to take all evidence at the United Service Hotol, on Wednesday night at eight o'clock. THE MATCHES IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Mr. Sloigh has received a letter from Sydney from the Secretary of the Rugby Union there, in whiah he says the following ia the programme of the matches mapped out :—Wediiesdn>,2SthMay, at Parramatta, v. County of Cumberland ; Thursday, 29th, in Sydney, v. Combined Suburbs ; Saturday, "'lst, in Sydney, v. New South Wales ; Thursday, sth June, at Nowcastle, v. Northern Districts; Saturday, June 7, in Sydney, v. N.S.W.; Wednesday, June 11, at Bathurst, v. Western Districts ; Saturday, Juno 14, in Sydnoy, v. N.S.W.
