THE NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PSKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wanqajtui, Friday. A deputation of the local members of the. New Zealand Rifle Association waited on Messrs. Watt and Fitzgerald, M.H.R-'a, today relative to obtaining* grant of £1000 next year for prize money at the annual meeting of the association, instead of £500 as formerly. The deputation pointed out that after defraying the expenses the balance of the £500 grant was altogether too small to provide prizes. Messrs. Watt and Fitzgerald expressed their willingness to mpport a vote of £1000 as proposed when £4 comes before the House.
