THE TAKAPUNA INQUIRY.
THE FINDING OF THE COURT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ' , Dtotedin, Thursday. The Takapuna inquiry ended to-day, but judgment will not be given till to-morrow The evidence having been, concluded, the Court said :—" At this stage of the inquiry we have to say, so that the parties inculpated may offer any defence they may desire to offer, that we find the damage was done tbe vessel in foul ground off the coast to the S.E. of Cape Kgmont; that it was caused by careless navigation through the fault of Captain Jones, and want of experience on the part of Mr. Sommers, the second mate." No evidence was called, but coumel gave addresses. ■
