DISTURBANCE AT A SALVATION ARMY MEETING.
[B)f TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ashburton, Wednesday. A disturbance occurred at •the Salvation Army Barracks this evening. Two.men were ordered • out: by Captain White, but persistad, in an argumentative manner, to denounce the proceedings of tbe army. This led to a scene, and the captain- proceeded to ejeot one of the disturbers. His mate realising the officer's intention, went to the assistance of his friend, and between them forcibly put the captain out of the building, throwing him out on the road, and thus making good their escape from the precincts of the" building. Some of the soldiers wildly rushed down the., street, calling out " police," but on the arrival of the the disturbers "ere not to be found.
