[Beccired April 28, 9.30 p.m.] MUTINY OF TROOPS AT BERB£R.
THE REBELS IN POSSESSION. FLIGHT OF THE INHABITANTS, Cairo, April 27. Intelligence has been received here that the troops composing the garrison at Berber have mutinied, and fraternised with the Arab rebels, who are now reported to be in possession of the town. It is further stated that great excesses are being committed by the followers of the Mahdi, and that the townspeople being now without protection are taking refuge in flight. KOROSKO THREATENED. London, April 27. It is stated in Cairo that the town of Korosko is threatened by the followers of El Mahdi. OSMAN DIGNA'S MOVEMENTS. _ London, April 27. Osman Digna has rallied a large force, and is now Encamped at Handbuck. ZEBEHR INTRIGUING WITH THE MAHDI. London, April 26. The latest information from Cairo states that it is believed that Zebehr Pasha, who was appointed by Gordon Pasha as Assistant-Governor of the Soudan, is intriguing with the followers of El Mahdi.
