Lady Jervois held an "At . Home at Government House on Saturday, April 19, at half-past three o'clock. There was a very large attendance, mostly, of gonrse, of ladies. The visitors; were received by Lady Jervois, with whom was Miss Jervois and a few lady friends. After leaving the reception-room, the visitors passed into the ball-room to wit« ness the ceremony of the presentation of tha Red Cross to Miss Crisp.by His Excellency the Governor. The "At Home" was perhaps more largely attended than any previously held here.
