LODGE ALBION.

The installation of officers of Lodge Albion, E.G., North Shore, which took place on April 8, attracted a great deal of attention. The District Grand Lodge of England, and the Waitemats, Prince of Wales, and Bemuera Lodges were represented as lodges. Among thoae on the dais were Brothers Lodder, D.D., G.M., E.C.; M. Niccol, P.M., 418 and 586, S.C.; Fenton, P.M., 659, E.C.; Elliott, W.M., 689, E.C.; Leers, P.M., 1338, E.C.; Clarke, W.M., 1338, E. 0.;

Cole, P.M., 689, E.G.; Laßoche, W.M., 1730, E.C.; McCullough, P.M.. 533, S.C.; Suiter, P.M., 421, LC.; Wright, Acting W.M., 348, 1.C.; Durance, P.M., Ara; Cooper, W.M., Remuera. The Albion Lodge was opened by Brother Brassey, after which Brother Lodder took the position of Installing Master. Brothers Clarke and Laßoche took part in the cere-' mony, and the ritual was carefully adhered to and effectively given. The installing officer placed Brother Gardner in the chair of King Solomon, and the latter then installed his officers as follows S.W., P. M., M. Niccol; J.W., S. Vosper ; Treasurer, O. Mays; Secretary, W. S. Lyell ; S.D., W. R. Moore ; J.D., James Mays ; Organist, J. A. Beale; 1.G., C. Bailey; Steward* W*H. Brown. Folio wing upon the installation of the officers of the Masonic Lodge Albion an At Home was given on April 15 in the Devonport Hall. Some sixty couples assembled at the hall, and a most pleasant evening wa3 spent.

The regular quarterly communication of the above lodge wa9 held at the Freemasons Hall on April 25 at eight p.m., Brother Sir Frederick Whitaker, R. VV., Provincial G.M., in the ehair; Brother M. Nicol, acting as substitute P. G.M.; Brother J. Slator, P.G S.; Brother W. McCnlloch, P.G.S.W.; Brother Ellisson, P.G.J.W.; Brother Dr. talker, organist. Other officers of P.G.L. were also present. A vast amount of routine business was expeditiously despatched. The following officers were duly installed by Brother M. Niccol, with his wonted proficiency, viz., Brother McLaron, P.G.A.; Brother R. B. Symonds, P.G., Bible bearear; and Brother Greenaway, President of the Board of Stewards. The following brethren were unanimously elected members of the P.G. Committee : — R.W.M. ' Lodge St. Andrew, R.W.M. Lodgo Manukau, and Brothers P. M. McCnlloch and P. M. Ellisson. It was notified that a dispensation had been granted by the P.G. Lodge to "erect" and consecrate a lodge under the Scottish Constitution at Te Aroha, which would take place on Tuesday, May 13th. Ihe Provincial G.M. intimated that it was not likely thac he would be able to attend the consecration, which he very much regretted, but he requested as many of the brethren as could conveniently do so to be present ou the interesting occasion. Muoh regret was felt at his inability to attend. Brother Slator intimated that the brethren generally would be informed by advertisement in the daily papers as to the best and most expeditious method of getting to To Aroha for the occasion. The lodge was duly closed at ten o'clock.
