THB.hrigantine Peerless, which, is now almost loaded .with kanri gam for New York will ha the. hearer of some 15,383 feet of specially selected and valuable New Zealand timbers. The'shipment is being sent forward as a trial' lot, and has been expressly picked oat for cabinet making purposes. The pieces are all splendid specimens of oar woods, and ehoujd command attention in America. The following are the particulars of the woods that are being sent forward :—Silver pine, 46£ feet of 18 x 12, 12 i 7, and 12 x 8 ; red pine, 1202 feet of 9 x 2, 6 x 16, and 10 x 3 ; pokaka, 512 feet of 10 x 3, 9 x 3, 6 x 3, and Bi2 ; miro, 300 feet of 9x 2 ; ribbon wood, feet of 12 x 8, 10 x 8, 8 x 8, 9 y 1, and 7-JE 1 ; kowhai, 153. feet of 6 x 3, and 10 x 8; rewarewa, 700 feet of 9 x 2 ; akeske, 140 faet of 5 x 5, and 6x6; rima, 243 feet of 18 x 9 > puriri, 500 feet of 9x 2; tawa, 500 feet of 9 x 2 ; kahikatea, 500 feet of 9 x I£, 6x1,12 xg; figured kauri, 4246 feet of 9 x 2 ; totara knobs, 5000 feet.
