LETTER FROM TAWHIAO'S PARTY.

The following is a translation of a letter, dated Sydney, April 6, sent by a member of the Maori embassy to Mr. C. 0. Davis " On the 6fch of April, Tawhiao, Major Te Wheoro, and Topia Turoa arrived in Sydney. The town is very large. Four, places the size of Auckland would be equal to it. The harbour is moat excellent and deep. Large vessels are placed immediately before the doors of the buildings. Tawhiao and party are compelled to move from place to place in cabs. They are impeded by multitudes if they , attempt to walk. The Europeans of Sydney have a pleasing appearance. No drunken European is seen in the streets or in the hotels. We Were entertained by the Government of Sydney ; the Ministers were extremely pleasant."
