THE DANCE OF DEATH.

An inquest was held at the Buffalo Head Tavern, Marylebone-road, London on the body of Mr. Robert Garden, sixty-five a bank secretary, of 54, Clifton-hill, St. John's Wood. Deceased was one of the visitors at the house of Mr. John Herbert Whitehorn, 31, Hamilton-terrace, Maida Vale. During the evening he seemed in good spirits, and about eleven o'clock was engaged in a dance when he suddenly fainted. He was removed from the ball-room into the hall, and attended by Mr. A. W. Addingswell, one of the guests and a member of the medical profession, who at once found that he was pulseless, ordered his removal into a bed-room, and tried restoratives, but without avail. Dr. Addings. well stated that the death was due to syncope of a singular nature. He must hare died while dancing. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
