HOLMHURST U situated on the North-west slope of Nagalo Mountain, and has extensive frontage to the sea. opposite the secure anchorage of Vuna Point, on which a pier is built, so that vessels load and discbarge on the property. The soil throughout is volcanic, friable, porous and of great richness and depth, producing heavy crops of. cane of the finest quality. On the uncleared portion of the estate is fine hardwood timber, suitable for building purposes and for railway sleepers. The climate is very healthy, admirably adapted for growth of Sugar Cano, the average temperitture being about 85*, rainfall over 100 inches annually, and frosts are unknown. Owners of adjoining estates are ,under contract to supply the Holmhurst Mills with produce of 160 aozes of cane, delivered alongside railway at 10s per ton, for 10 years, commencing 1888. The Houses, Hospitals, and Buildings are all very substantial, and have been approved by the Government Officers. HOLMHURST has fortnightly «team communication with Sidney by the A.S.N. Co.'s steamers, and thrice each month bv the Union S.N. Co. with Melbourne tnd Auckland. The Union Company's steamers from Levuka all weekly at Vuna Point on the Estate.
