Mb. Alfred Bocklaxd'e Weekly Beport.—At the Haymarket, on Friday, AprU 18, fodder ranged from 2s Gd to 5s por cwt. but the greater part between 3s (id and 4s. Horse stock wore yarded iii full numbers, and there was a numerous attendance. Good farm mares brought from £16 to £26 each; inferior stock at all prices. At the private sale held, at Messrs. A. and J. Anderson's, on Saturday last, there was a numerous attendance. The farm implements sold freely.-' Sheep, taking their quality Into account, sold at low values. Dairy stock wero eagerly competed for: Best cows ranged at from £10 to £12 10s, and the horse stock, which were numerous, sold satisfactorily, good farm horses ranging from £20 to £28 10s. At the Havmarket, on Tuesday, there was a full muster of hides ; prices for best quality ranged from 3d to 3Jd ; fat and tallow, from 25s to 27s per cwi.. : skins, from 7d to 2s 7d each : wool, 4Jd to 5Jd per lb. At Kemuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle near calving maintained their lately improved value. Store cattle were in full number and somewhat hotter enquiry. ASD NolAN's WEEKLY REPORT. —Horsen: A very "large number have been brought forward, principally ship borne, but local horsei found purchasers at advanced rates, and horses o( a good stamp were disposed at prices satisfactory to the vendor*. At the Durham yards on Friday Ihore was a Urge mnster of both local and ship horses. For the former bidding was in some instances slow, bat brisk for the latter, and with few exceptions lols were cleared at an advance on rates ruling for two or three weoks previous. On Saturday a special salo was held also held at the Durham. Ten first class Clydesdale mares, shipped by Mr. Caverhill from his estate at Hawera, were disposed of in one lot. Mr. John Phillips' boinff the purchaser at £525. The imported Clydesdale stallion. Star and Garter, from tho same gentlemtn's stud, was withdrawn at £150. Fifty, horses, ex H&uraki, from Patea, brought up by Mensrs. Morton and Chadwick, were of a very superior stamp in their class, and excited keen competition, the remit being very satiifactory to shippers. We quote : Hacks from £5 to £42 10s, and draughts from £30 to £40 ; trap horsei. from £15 to £25. Wool, Hidei, aud Skins : Supply limited. Inferior moved at 33d ; hidea at from 2*d to 3Jd; station skins. Is to Is sd; tallow, 20s 0d per cwt. C»ttle: There has been a full supply of fat beasts, and but a limited one of dairy and. store stock. Prices for butchers'stock favoured the purchaser us compared with the previous week, but dairy and store stock maintained their value. The beef and diiry pens at the Newmarket yards were well tilled, and a moderate number of" storos ' were yarded. There was about the usual muster at Waiuku, on the previous Saturday, and stores sold relatively higher than at Newmarket. The value of fat beasts fluctuated considerably, but there was a decline in value of 5s per head. No noteworthy alterations in values of other stock. Sheep: A largo number of butchers' sheep were brought forward, but the competition was good and values wero sustained. Wethers sold at from 12s Cd to 17s 9d ; ewes; 10s to 13s 6d ; lambs, 8s 3d to lls 9d. Pies were yarded in very largo numbers.
