[press association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. The Urenni correspondent of the. Herald says :—"I hear that To Mahuki, who was in gaol for ill-treatment of Messrs. Hursthonse and Newsham, is on the road for Parihaka from the King Country; with thirty followers. He is expected at White Cliffe to-day, and if he arriveo will be turned back."
WELLINGTON, Monday.
The following- tenders were received for timber, slip, and booms contract, Auckland Goods Station:—Accepted: Well ; and. Gardener, Auckland, £1747. Declined: Cornwell and Wilkinson, £1878; W, Foughey, £1888 ; W. Knox, £2159. The directors of the .Wellington Pnbh'c Hall Company recommend a dividend of 8 per cent. The profit balance for the year was £741. ■ —
Bishop and Mrs. Hadfield leave for England by the steamer to-morrow. - His' Lordship goes home for the benefit of his health.' ■ The Opera Troupe left for the South this afternoon, after a most successful season here.

Kate Boyle, charged at tho January sittings of the Supreme Court with infanticide, and found not guilty on the ground of insanity, was to-day released from gaol on an order from His Excellency the Governor.
A son, aged four, of Mr. Speakman, a baker at Feathereton, fell' down a well on Saturday, and was drowned. :
. ■. . . DUNEDIN, Monday. The Premier arrived to-night. He will spbak on Thursday night...'. Thct Medical Association has forwarded their petition to the Government to commate the sentence on Dr. Parry. It'was signed by seventeen medical men residing in Dunedin, and four refused to.sign. Further news concerning the death' of Mr. Tennet shows that he was jerked out of his buggy while crossing a sludge.channel on the road, not thrown into the river as previously stated... . ■ . ■ •■• •■• . The slander case between rival bootmakers will not come on, as the defendant has paid the plaintiff's coats and apologised through the Press. '
Twenty of the Tongariro'a crew were today charged at Port Chalmers with disobedience. Their defence was that they were entitled to a half holiday on Saturday, on which day it was they refused to work. They were convicted and discharged, having been locked np since Satnrday. ■ „
