An st Court: held • atthe Police! Office; Te Kopufu, on: April before Mr* Thomas 8. Webbj J.P., .two sailors, of the barque Killarney,_.wete. charged, by Constable Saott with, being drunk oh Sunday, April 13, near the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Aratapu. He found one of them'lying on his face with his head buried in the sawdust. Turning him oyer, he saw that be was black in the face, and thought him dead. A gush of blood came' from hiß nose, after which he showed signs of life, and. recovered ao far as to abuse the coDiJtiible, who took him to the lock-up. Both pleaded guilty, and were fined 10s each ; coßts 4s 6d each. The Rev. A. Hitchcock has departed to take aobarge at Northcote, complaining that 'his slnpehd was hot sufficient. Since he has been here the districts of Arapohue and Whakabara have been abandoned to the Wesleyans, who are erecting a _ chapel at Arapohue, ahd brobably there will-soon be one at Whakabara.
