This will enable six promising looking lodes to be prospected. Rocky Poist.—The reef has been driven ra in the cross cut up to the Kooky Point •oandary. In breaking down to-day blotches >£ gold were seen in the hangingwall leader, nhich is about three inches. The larger body oontains favourable mineral. Gold is •till showing in the roof of the hangingwall leader. Bbight Smile.—A winze on Garvey's leader has been snnk twenty-eight feet. The lode averages four of five inches, and shows gold as freely as the block just stoped out, where specimens were not coming to hand. The old Deeside tunnel will be cleaned out for a low level, and 100 feet ot driving should bring the leader to hand. This level will afford deeper backs than the Extended tunnel, besides which the latter waa very hard, hence, the substitution of the Deeside drive.
