A THAMES EJECTMENT CASE.

[By TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPOND DENT.] Thames, Wednesday. A few days ago I telegraphed that the Union Sash and Door employes had turned the tables on Blair's men, and taken forcible possession of the Hikutaia Bush, commonly called Fagan's Bush. Tuesday saw another act of the drama played. At six o'clock this morning, Sergeant MoGratb, Constables Scapleton and O'Brien, and Detective Doolan, armed ca pa-pie, rode away from this station en route for Hukutaia. The latter bore a warrant to arrest William Birch, James Fletoher, John West, George McClear, Charles Clayborough, Thomas Hopkins and George Johnson, all Union Company's men, for that they did on March 5, with force and arms, viz., pistols, saws, sticks, atones, and other offensive weapons, enter and expel Henry Thomson and others from premises in a close at Hikutaia. Birth, the foreman, .happening to be in Grahamitown, gave the police a letter to hiß fellow-workmen, advising them to come down quietly. The place in question proved to be nine miles off the main road, and the path very rough to travel. The men received the police oordially, treated them hospitably, and offered no opposition. Hikutaia was reached in time to catch the aoach from Paeroa, and the party arrived at the Thames at a quarter-past sis. The prisoners were speedily brought before Dr. Kilgour, and bailed out by John Wat3on, having been bound over to appear at ten o'clock to-mor-row. It is likely an adjournment will be asked to procure witnesses, etc. Mr. Lusk is solicitor for Blair and Mr, Miller for the Union Company. The police rode 50 miles during the day, and a great part of the road was very bad.
