WaDganui Jockey Club promises to be one of the most successful ever held here, from'every point of view. /In addition: to the highest number.: of entries ever.. received, acceptances have been good throughout, and.: as it better class, of horses than usual will run, , sport will probably be capital. About thirty horses worked this morning, including" Tim Wh:{Her (who arrived by tbe steamer : i yesterday), Libeller, and the other principal, horses engaged in the Cap. .Both horses: mentioned had a good gallop, and favourably impressed the: touts.® The weather at ; present looks settled, and a largo number of visitors are in the town,-; including metal- : licians from Auckland, Napier, Wellington, and Chrißtchurch. Betting is pretty brisk.
