Hβ hoped the time was uot far distant when chey would have established a convent school id their midst. His Lordship shortly after proceeded to administer the sacrameufc of Confirmation to a number of children o; both sexes, who were neatly arranged round the altar rails, and his explanation of that sacrament, its nature, elficacy, anrl dignity, was put in a most foiciole and clear light. His Lordship then delivered his pastoral addrese, which was an eloquent discourse, and was, it is needless to say, listened to with marked attention, and chiefly reUted to the importance and necessity of a. religious education for the young, the evils arising from the secular school system, mixed marriages, and kindred topics. Thi/'ohurch during the delivery'was crowded ; to excess,.not only by members of His Lordis hip's flock, but by thatyof other denominations. ______—«____.
