Binney and Co. reports of their weekly.sale, held to-day, of wool, hides, sheepskins, &c, as follows :—Locks and pieces, 3JJ to 4|4 per lb. ; lambskins, Is l&d to Is 2d ; pelts, 9d to la 3d; green pelti, In 10d each. Hides averaged 3Jd per lb. Miu B. Arthur's Weekly Report.—A fairly busy woek in all departments Fruit has not come hind quite so freely, prices have been about the same as lait week. If good louml peaches were sent in small cases, they would now bring a lair price. Potatoes have not improved in price. Stock light, not a largo quantity to hand this week. (. heese are I to hand in excess of demand, prices do not improve. Good bacon is wanted, bnt little to hand. A fair demand for good seed onions. Onions dirticuit to got buyers at any price. The deman.i for fornitnre not so good as usual. Tuesday: Sale of furniture, &c, at mart. A fair attendance. The sapply wa« not «o largo as usual, prices were tatiaficoory, but little could be done in fancy goods, &c. Wednesday : Sale of fruit. Attendance large, prices good. Nelson apples sold at 4s 3d to 6s 3d per case ; plums, *Jd to 5Jd per lb. ; pears, 3d; Auckland ■ apples, ljd to 3id ; plums, 5Jd to 6d ; peaches lid to 6d per dozen; pear>, 1 j<l to 3Jd; darmons, 3Jd ; quinces, ljd to 2Jd ; honey, 4}d ; oraugos, 13s por case. Thursday: Sale of freehold properties in the city and suburbs, by order ot the Trustees ia the estates of the late Kev. John Warren and Mr. W. Morley. A good number were present, and the competition was fairly brisk, after a start whs made. Thu result of the sale w«s quite equal to expectation. The first lot offered w*s a newly erected 5 roomed cottage and allotment, 35 i 100 feet, in Clarence-street, Davenport, orth Shore. It sold at £265. Also, an old house and allotment, having a frontige to the Strand, or Beach-road, at 36 feet by a depth of about 100 feet. £400. Mount Roiklll, Valley-road: A 7-roomed nous* with allotment. ISI x 212 links, at £460. Park House and grounds, situated at the corner uf Ponsonby-road and Hepburn-street, adjo ning the Western Park, having a fron'-age to Ponsoriby-road of ISO links, and to Hep-burn-itruet IS2 links. brought £1410. The house is nicely finished, and contains 8 rooms, fi'.ted with gas, water, etc. These propertus wero all sold for cash within one month from date of sale, except the ono at Mount Roskill. I Friday: Sale of poultry, produce, fruit, etc., at mart. At the commencement of the sale but few present, bnt ai it proceeded a large number gathered and remained to the end. The supply of poultry was small, and of interior quality, prices lower tbau last weet. All potatoes and onions cleared out; no improvement in price. Cheese told more readily than last week ; only a few lots pasteri. Fruit «as entered in large quantity. Apples declined in price. Pe>rs were very plentiful, but most of them sold at 2Jd to 2Jd. Peaches aud plums but few entered; an advance in the price was the consequence. Fowls, Is 4d to 2s 6d ; Brahnms, 3i 10d ; guiaea fowls, is 3d ; turkeys (small). 2j 6d; ducks. Messrs. Cakbixks and Taylor held their usual Friday's sale of poultry, produce, etc., and report a vary large attendance, and bidding spirited. Fair prices were obtained in all departments. Young fowls. Is to Is6d; fnil-grown do., Is 9d to 2s 7d; langshans, 3s ; Polish fowls. 4» 9rt each ; ducks, Is 6d to Is lid; young pigs, 8s 9d to 10s. Produte: Potatoes como freely to market, and sell at from 2s 9d to 4s, according to quality; cauliflowers, Is to Is 9d per ssok; cabbages, Is to 2s; onions are very plentliul, and sell at from Jd to ljd; green peas, Is4dper peck. Fruit market: But JltUe to hsnd : apples and po»rs no very small; apples, Id to 2Jd per lb.; pears, ljd per lb.; p .'aches are very scarce, 6d per dtjs. Primo Canterbury bacon, 6d to 9-ld ; hams, 9d to lid ; inferior bacon, 2d to 3Jd ; hams, 4d; medium bacon, 4d to 5d : bams, 5d to Sd ; Wairoa cheeses, 3d to 4d ; keg beef. The jewellery and fancy g:Ods cutlery all disposed of at satisfactory prices.
