Ward two and a third ; in the North nearly two; in KaraDgahape nearly one and twothirds; in East, also, nearly one and twothirds ; and in Ponsonby more than one-and a half. In the North Ward, in which I worked, I find by examination of my roll that , institutions and so on which conld not vote y number 21 ; the , dead, 11; the sick (including . one lady), 5; unknown to. our committee (of . whom six are ladies), "33; absent from the district (of whom one is a woman), 50; burgesses in town who did not vote (including six ladies),". 5S ;. : burgesses who voted (including nine ladies),, 286 ; total roll, 461: —I am, &c., J.
