FOR THE LITTLE FOLK.

Tho fabrics for children generally unite taste and beauty with common sense. The colours vary slightly from those already described. Small blondes still wear delicate blue deepening into other shades and warm plum shades, in addition to the more fashionable colours. The soft wool fabrics are in rich colours of Scotch plaid and solid colours in Saxony flannels, camel's hair cloth and Jersey cloth for daily purposes and needs. For festive occasions and dancing schools there are the beautiful velveteens, fiue I reuch cashmeres, Surahs, faille, sUtinettes and cloth fur-trimmod for the street. • The holiday dresses are lavishly trimmed with Irish point embroidery, Venetian point embroidery. For little children, irrespective of Bex, there is a new walking coat, the "Trbde," which, might also servo aa a dress. It is laid in- three plaits, baok. and front, mounted on a square yoke made of embroidered cashmeres; those imported, embroidered on the selvage, are appropriate. The "Nanon"fcnd "Gisela" cloaks are extremely coquettish for older little girls, of plaided dark material, the hoods and sleeves lined with bright silk. The "Greenaway " models still continue worthy of patronage, reason of their comfort and pretty quaint--ness. The "Cbia" is a shirred blouse with a "Mother Hub'bard" yoke. The "Gresnaway" wrapper is a charming little cones;* of rose or blue cashmere and lace for an invalid or after the bath. Black stockings are imperative, but plaid may bp ; worn to correspond with the plaid drees. Little boys wear the regulation kilt and jacket until the dignity of six years is attained, with jacket and kneebreeches of men's ordinary materials ; fer dress occasions, dark velvet or black ana wide rich lace neck and sleeve ruffles. Children's fnrs are confined generally to the curly grey Krimmer, ermine, Russian ohinohilla and the dainty white cony. Exclusively there are elegant little sealskin coats accompanied by caps, collars and mittens.
