TO THE EDITOK. Sis,—Some little time ago a letter signed " Presbyterian " appeared in your columns, the contents of which, I dearsay, are still fresh in the memory of your readers. I have just ascertained that that letter has been by some, at least, ascribed to me, and I beg you to insert this, my disclaimer of any connection with the matter. The letter bore the obvious impress of familiarity with the pen ; and though its statements have remained unchallenged, a"nd the motive which prompted its publication was one, 1 doubt not, tbat did honour to the author; yet I am only doing justice to myself in saying that nearly up to the present hour I have been in absolute ignorance of its origin.—l am, &c, A.
