After numerous false starts, owing to the fractiousness of Kalo, the lot were got away pretty evenly.-. Kingask made the running slightly in advance of Leonata, with Leonora close up. At the turn past the stand Kalo rushed to the front, but was soon afterwards displaced by Leonata, and a Btiff race ensued between the two leaders, and up the straight they ran neck and neck, Leonata winning by ahead. The Laird, four lengths off, was third.
