WESLEYAN CHURCH.— MANUKAU CIRCUIT.
The quarterly meeting of the Mauukau circuit was held at Otahuhu on Monday, October Ist, when there Was a large, representation of office-bearers from all parts of the circuit. Mrs. Goodwill kiDdly and generously provided tea for the members of the meeting at her own house, whence they adjourned to the church for business. The schedule showed a large increase of members, and the balance-sheet a considerable increase , of funds, the'amount raised being £138 as against £80 for the previous quarter. As the Rev. George Bond, according, to the connexional law,' must leave in April, the Rev. W. 0. Oliver was nnanimously invited as his successor. . The report of the Methodißt Union Committee .was disoussed and approved. The union of the various Methodist bodies was accordingly recommended.
