The annual meeting of the Auckland Cricket Club was held at • the, United Service Hotel yesterday evening,—Mr. Robinson in tho chair. - The minutes of tlie ; two previous meetings were read and. confirmed. Ihe Secretary ' Tead' the report of tho season, showing that tho first eleven had played ten mat«hes, won five, lost four, and drawn one. The second .had played foiirteeh, won.three,' drawn seven,-;tied,one. and lost three; The balance-sheet was read. and adopted,, showing .membors' subscriptions £ol,Bs.;.. against, which were—materia], £18 0s 3dDomain groundj . £11 ss;; printing and advertising,-. £5 14s, and .sundries—showing: a: .Credit;; balance of £9. 6s', Sd.. The following new members, were, elected : —Messrs. D Arcy, Gardner, Byng; Sirnp=on, Martin; and Hall. Mr. W; 11.' V. Bindon wan again elected Secretory of the, first,'.and Mr. Buttle Secretary of th-3 second eleven. On behalf of Mr.. Osmond, Mr. Bitidbri presented bats,. mounted with ailver pl.itea, to Mr. O'Brien, of the first eleven, .'average. :(2S*l), and Mr. H. S. Hall, of the second eleven (12), and on behalf ,of-Mr! Dawes, balls with silver plates to. Mr. Robins-n, of tho first eleven', analysis (3 S per wicket)," and Mk' Webster, of the second (S'S). / Mr.. Osmond offered a!. silver' medal to the, batsman who shall, .make, greatest number of runß riext.season. ALPHA. The annual general meeting of the Alpha Cricket . Club, was held. last night;; Mr... E.„ Bell, President, in the chair. The report for, the season showed 22 matches played, 8 won, 4 lost, and 10 drawn. Mr. C. Abel takes the batting trophy, ;\vith an:ayerago of 17'4, for 18 innings. Mr. F. Goodapre takes the bowling trophy, .average's*2,;for :47..wickots. Mr. McDermott's .average ; was 2, but as he didn't bowl -in ! the requisite number of matches he can't take the trophy.. ...Mr; R. Done takes the second eleven batting trophy (a bat), average ll|, for 12 innings. The hon. members, number 20, working members 19. Ther'firat match will bB played on November 3.. Mr. P. M. Hay was elected Captain, and Mr. M. McDermott Secretary.
