The annual meeting of the Auckland Cricket Club was held at • the, United Service Hotel yesterday evening,—Mr. Robinson in tho chair. - The minutes of tlie ; two previous meetings were read and. confirmed. Osmond, Mr. Bitidbri presented bats,. mounted with ailver pl.itea, to Mr. O'Brien, of the first eleven, .'average. :(2S*l), and Mr. H. S. Hall, of the second eleven (12), and on behalf ,of-Mr! ALPHA. The annual general meeting of the Alpha Cricket . Club, was held. last night;; Mr... E.„ Bell, President, in the chair. The report for, the season showed 22 matches played, 8 won, 4 lost, and 10 drawn. Mr. C. Abel takes the batting trophy, ;\vith an:ayerago of 17'4, for 18 innings. Mr. F. Goodapre takes the bowling trophy, .average's*2,;for :47..wickots. Mr. McDermott's .average ; was 2, but as he didn't bowl -in ! the requisite number of matches he can't take the trophy.. ...Mr; R.
