A short interval was well employed by the distribution of tracts from the Auckland Band of Hope Union, after which Mr. Smith proceeded with his views and lecture on George Cmickshank's "Bottle," and. the " Drunkard's Progress," all true pictures of some of the misery produced by chinking intoxicating liquor. He also exhibited some excellent views of public buildings, parks, and prominent places in Sydney and Melbourne and the hot lakes and terraces of Now Zealand, concluding with comic and amusing pictures. The whole formed one of the best and most varied entertainments of its kind provided in Onehunga, and thanks are duo to Mr. Smith and the friends for their assistance.—[A Correspondent.]
