HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

The, regular meeting of the Hospital Committee was held yesterday. Present : Mr. E. A. Mackechnie (Chairman), Colonel Haultain, and Messrs. Dando and Kensington. Telephone.—The Chairman said that Mr. Clark, Mr. Dando, and himself had fixed the place where the telephone was to be placed. This was in reply to a communication from Mr. Furby, in charge of the Telegraph Department, Auckland, who stated that the communication was now completed. Bed House Mr. Bryce wrote to say that he had quitted, the red house.—The Chairman said the committee had determined to retain this house for cases, of infectious disease, and let it in the meantime: to one of the sub-qfficers, who could remain in it till it was required.
