GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the dispatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in tho above Tables, and, in the event of any circumstances arising, either during or prior to the ( journey being made, which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the Passengers. Luggage.—Each Passenger is allowed to take 1121bs. of PERSONAL Luggago free (not including merchandise of any kind), and for every sClbs., or fraction of 501b5., above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the ch;irge will be One Shilling. No Luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carriages, unless of such a size that it can bo . placed under tho seat without inconvenience to other J Passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Passengers can be Booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free above three and under twelve years of age, half-fare. Houses, Carriages, £c.—The Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages ! by any particular Train ; but, when sent, they must he i at the forwarding Station half-an-liour before the I departure of tiie Train. The Owners of Horses must j provide means for securing them in the Horse-bos, | and the Railway Department will not bo accountable I for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose 1 or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for Ilorse-boxes or Carriage-trucks must be made tho day before they are wanted. £ Dogs must be provided with chains, or other ° sullicient means of securing them. They will not be £ allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a « Ticket, to be given up at the end of the journey, and before the Dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available e for Special and Excursion Trains, excopt whou the ri ordinary 'I'imo Table is suspended. h * Flag Stations.—Trains do not stop at these p unless required. Notice should be given to the Guard at the previous stopping Station.
