Ix the House of Commons to-day SirWilliam Vernon Hareourt, Home Secretary, stated, in reply to a question, that inquiries had been made by the police regarding the attack upon Lady Florence Dixie by two men disguised as women, but that the investigation had failed to confirm Lady Dixie's narrative. [Receired March 30, 9.30 p.m.] ARREST OF A FENIAN. London, March 29. A Fenian who was arrested at Liverpool from Cork, was detected in the act of landing a box of explosives, and arrested by the police. [Received March3l. 1.5 a.m.) London, March 30. Two persons have been arrested at Cork in connection with the landing of a case of explosives at Liverpool by a Feniau agent. [Received March 31, 1 5 a.m.] THE ENTHRONEMENT OF THE PRIMATE. London, March 30. The enthronement oE Dr. Benson as Primate of all England took place at Canterbury Cathedral to-day. The ceremony was performed by the Archbishop of York, assisted by other prelates of the Established Church, and in the presence of an immense concourse of clergy and persons of note.

De Maghath, President of the Hungarian Court of Cassation, has been strangled at his residence by burglars. [special to press association.] London, March 29. THE VICTORIAN LOAN. The public have absorbed the greater portion of the balance of the Victorian loan. THE ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY. The Right Rev. Ward White Benson. D.D., has been enthroned as Archbishop of Canterbury and Primate of All England. Dr. Thornton, Bishop of Ballarat, and the following former Bishops Mf Australia—the Right Rev. Edward Wyiulham Tufl'nell, D.D., the Right Rev. Charles Henry Bromby, and the Right Rev. Charles Perry— assisted at the ceremony, which was a most impressive one.
SIR HERCULES ROBINSON. Sir Hercules Robinson leaves for Cape Town on the 2 tth of April. The Zulus are rising in the Transvaal. SIR POPE lIENNE3SY. Sir John Pope Hennessy sails for Mauritius on the 10th of May. BOER ENVOY. M. Joussen, member of the Boer Government, has boon appointed envoy for tho Transvaal i:i London. THE CUBAN REFUGEES. It is stated that Spain will shortly release the Cuban refugees who were surrendered from Gibraltar.
