Driving has been resum-d in No. 4 level, which is about 30 feet off the Blackmore boundary. At present the country is very broken, but I think a feiv feet further will pat us through it, when I expect a better class of country, aud another shot of gold. Imperial.—The manager'stelegram cannot be regarded as otherwise than satisfactory. The specimens were taken from the side of the new (possibly Mariner's) reef going towards the Deep Level Cross, from the boundary of which mine it is probably 50 or 60 feet. The bill side of the reef just picked up shows gold freely ; also it is scarcely so solid as the other side, but that may bo due to the influence of the break. Masukau.— The winze i< down to 66 feet, and a few lbs. of picked stone have betn I found. Ten feet further should be sufficient. I The drive is going through good country, and GO feet should suffice for connection.

Kcrasci Hill. —The Wheel of Fortune lode has been driven on about SO feet, and a leadingstope is being brought along. Colours of gold were seen in the stope over where the precious metal was obtained in the drive. The footwall lode (Cook's leader) has been driven on somo GO feet. It is a fine-looking body of gold, but no gold Las been seen. The cross-cut to intersect at Pearce's and Duke's leaders is being pushed ahead. A considerable quantity of quartz having accumulated, the manager will eoon start crushing. Albdbnia.—3slbs. of specimens were obtained in the stopes intermediate level, where gold was left previously. The drive was advanced 29 feet during thepist fortnight, but the reef which was shaken has not yet quite recovered itself. A drive is being put in 12S feet below the Sous of Freedom level near the Dauntless ground, and has been carried (iG feet on a leader which is improving , in appearance. Tlie manager expects it to junction with the Durham Ox or Virginia i City lode, out of which Mears and party t made a handsome haul some years ago. t WIIAU. —The tributers have driven 24 , feet.
