TARANAKI RACES.
New Plymouth, Thursday. The Taranaki races took place to-2ay. The weather was fine, bat thu attendance was not large early in the day, although the number increased later on. ■ Handicap Ste^plkchas:;.—New Year, 1; Dianthus, 2; Larrikin, 3. A protest was lodged against the winner by the owner of Dianthus for net jumping properly. Spring Haxdkmf. —St. Clair, 1; .Larry, 2 ; Satoria, o. Licensed Victuallers' Pi.atk.—St.Clair, 1 ; Hippodamia, '2 ; irishwoman, ;5. Nukskky Stakes.—lna, 1; Artist, 2; Fishwoman, 3. Flying Handicap.—Ki::e:r.oa, 1 ; Fisshwoman, 2 ; Hippodamia, 3. Tiie Consolation Stakes were won by Larry.
