[Received December 7, 9 p.m.] THE ROTOMAIIANA FLOATED. Melbourne, December 7. The steamship Itotomahana -was successfully floated off' this afternoon. She proceeded on her voyage to the Bluff to-night. [Received December 8, I.sa.iu.] THE VICTORIAN PARLIAMENT. Melbourne, December 7. In the Legislative Assembly this evening Mr. Munro asked that precedence might be given to a motion which he had placed upon the order paper for the appointment of a select committee to investigate the railway administration of the colony. Sir B. O'Loghlen declined to grant precedence to the motion. Mr. Munro, however, insisted on precedence being granted, and he was warmly supported by Mr. Berry. The Premier thereupon stated that the Government considered the motion as tantamount to a vote of want-of-confidence, and moved the adjournment of the House until Tuesday next at ten o'clock. The discussion -was proceeding at a late hour, the general feeling of the House being adverse to a vote of want-of-confidence.

[Received Decembers, 15 a.m.] MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. Melbourne, December 7. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Limited, report that at their wool sales to-day 2275 baies were offered, competition being very brisk. Fine cross-breds were decidedly firm in response to the tone of the London auctions, and tine wools generally were in very good demand. 2000 bales were sold at satisfactory prices.
