I GENERAL CONDITIONS. ! The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the dispatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notltlcd in the above Tables, and. in the event of any circumstances arising, either during or prior to the journey being made, which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the Passengers. Luuuaoe. — Each Passenger is allowed to take 1121bs. of PERSONAL Luggage free (not including merchandise of any kind), and for every sUlbs., or fraction of 501ba., above this weight, for every 60 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the chargo will be One Shilling. No Luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other Passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Names aud the Station to which they are proceediug distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Passengers can be Booked at Stations only on condition tbat there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free ; above three and under twelve years of age, half-faro. Horses, Carriages, <tc.—The Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train ; but, when sent, they must be at the forwarding Station lialf-au-hour before the departure of the Train. The Owners of Horses must provide means for iecurine them iu the Horse-box, and the Railway Department will not bo accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for Horse-boxes or Carriage-trucks must be made tho day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other suflicient means qf securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a Ticket, to bo given up at the end of the journey, and before the Dog is delivered. Return Tickets, for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on day of issue only; for each additional 25 miles, or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special and Excursion Train*, except when the ordinary lime Table is suspended. Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return Tickets until the last ordinary Train on the following Monday. * Fno Stations. —Trains do not stop at these unless required. Notice should be given to the Guard at the previous stopping Station. Special Notice.—To tusure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs mu3t be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before the Advertised Time of Departure of Train.
