♦ riiK quarterly communication of the District 3rand Lodge of Kuglaud was hold last evening in the Masonic Hall, Princes-street. I'herc was a good attendance of members and visitors, and the business was of more than ardinary interest, as the oflicers for the ensuing year were to he installed. Brother G. 3. Graham, V. W.D.G.M., who had arrived n Auckland on the previous day, presided, md had the pleasure of nominating his own >fficera, who were installed, Brothers Conks and Waddel officiating as conlucting stewards. The LVD.G.M., Brother Lodder, holding a permanent oflice, was not, )f course, re-invested. The other officers ?-ere invested as follows :—Brother W. P. Moat. D.G.S.W.; Brother Dr. Goldsbro', D.G.J.W.; Brother Rev. C. M. Nelson, [>.G. Chaplain; Brother Rev. W. Tebbs, O.G. Registrar ; Brother Dr. Dawson. Presilent Board of General Purposes; Brother H. G. Wade, D.G. Secretary; Brother T. >le, D.G.S.D.; Brother \V. Kattray, D.G. T.D.; Brother Mitchelson, Director of Ceremonies; Brother Waddel, 5.8.; Bro,her C. Hesketh, Organist; Brother Fen;on, Pursuivant; Brother Dargaville, As-listaut-Pursuivant. The elective oiliccs )f Treasurer aud Tyler respectively were, m the votes of the members, selected is follows :—Brother A. V. Maedonald, I'reasurer, and Brother Captain Tonge, Tyler. L'he thanks of the Grand Lodge were ac:orded to Brother C. Porter, who has been L'yler of this D. G. Lodge since its fouuda;ion, for the services he had rendered. An ilection by ballot was then held for ten nembers for the Board of General Purposes, ;o act with the chief oflicers of the Grand Lodge. Dr. Dawson holds this position of President by the nomination of the D. G. M. The elected members are Brothers P. M's Rattray, Hatswell, Fenton, Collins, Hesketh, Skinner, Waddel, Wright, Leers, and □arlaw. Representatives oi the various lodges were then elected for the Committee a! the Fund of Benevolence. The D. G. M. gave a short address at tho close of the business, indicating a proposal for a changfl in the date of the quarterly communication, and indicating that he would be able.to attend more frequently in future.
