REPORTED DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.

I'l was rumoured in l'ukekohe oc Monday that the large store-room in connection with Mei;sie. Uuckland and Sliipherd's mill, near Tuakau, has been completely destroyed by lire. Some of tuem, however, returned to the smith's shop, and lit the fire, some sparks from which ignited some shavings, and the flames rapidly spread to the large store, which, together with its contents, were completely destroyed. It was stated that the Io&s was estimated at £1000. So far as we have learned the building was not insured, but the fitock was insured 10 the New Zealand Office for a sum of £300. Up to the time of our imjuiry yesterday, the insurance companies had not heard of the voported disaster.
