AUCKLAND UNITED V. OUR BOYS.

This match was played on Saturday last and the previous Saturday, resulting in a win for Our Boys by 7 wickets. The United played a very weak team, five of their members being absent with the Southern team, and one or two others unavoidably absent. The Uuited's first innings produced ouly 30, Mumford, with 10, being the top scorer. Our Boys scored 115, Whiteside carrying his bat through the innings for a brilliantly played 70. Things at first went badly in United's second iuniugs, three of the best men being given out in a very suspicious manner. However, C- MacCormick and Lankham made a pood stand, the former being at length stumped for a good free innings of 50, while Lankham, who remained with him the whole time, obtained a patient 7. The innings closed for 104, leaving Our Boys 20 to wiu, which they obtained for the loss of 3 wickets, Whiteside scoring 14, not out. Whiteside ami Walker howled well for Our Boys, who also fielded belter than their opponents. Subjoined is the full score :—
