ARRIVAL OF THE S.S. HERO.

The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Hero arrived in harbour early yesterday morning, after a very smart passage. She brings a largo cargo of fruit, and the full number of passengers. Captain JlcGillivray (to whom wo are indebted for late Fiji papers) reports having left Auckland on November 15 ; arrived at Russell next morning at 7.45 a.m., sailing as;ain for Levuka on the samo day, November 10th, at 7 p.m.; experienced lino weather throughout the passage, which was made under very easy steam ; sighted ICandavu at 11.10 p.m. on November 21, and was off Levuka shortly after midnight; made fast to Levuka wharf at C a.m. on November 22; sailed on the 23rd, at 12 noon for Suva ; left Suva on November 25, at 0 p.m., and arrived in Levuka at 12 midnight; sailed for Auckland on November 2!), at 0 a.m., and had fine weather to arrival, with moderate northerly winds; sighted Mokohinau Islands at 4.40 p.m. on December 3, and arrived ill port as above.
