HAMLEY GUN CLUB.

«. The annual meeting cf the Hamley Gun Club was held on iS'ov. 2S, at the Ellerslie Hotel. Their was a fair attendauce of members. Three sweepstake matches were fired —Ligowsky's pigeon (clayj being used. The first and second were won by Mr. Newell, and the third by Captain Rich. The new invention was not entirely satisfactory. At the meeting the club was shown to be in a good financial position, having a credit balance of £15 after clearing all liabilities. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. J. Kirkwood ; vice-president, Mr. J. Russell ; committee, Messrs. Newell, James Dickey, J. Ellis, R. E. Isaacs, and Captain Rich. Mr. A. E. Isaacs was elected hou. secretary and treasurer; and Mr. J. Kirkwood, handicapper. A number of new members were elected, and altogether there was a manifestation of vitality which gives promise of a successful future. After the meeting, the health of the handicapper, Mr. Kirkwood, was proposed p.nd drunk enthusiastically. The health of Mr. A. K. Isaacs, the donor of the enp, the principal trophy of the season, was also cordially toasted. Other toasts followed, and two members promised to give cups to be fired for next season.
