His Lordship distributed the prizes as follows :— Ist, Hugh Campbell, for good conduct and regular attendance; 2nd, Margaret McCarthy, for catcchism; Brd, Miss M. Walsh, for good conduct; 4th, Miss Tessa George, for general improvement; sth, Miss Fanny Neville, fer amiability. Second Class: Ist, Miss T. George, fojr general study; *2nd, Miss K. Kichards, for politeness; 3rd, Miss A. Cronin, for improvement and geography; 4th, Miss Sarah McCarthy, for improvement and conduct; sth, Miss E. George, for recitation; 6th, Master A. Yates, for a rithtueiic; 7th, Master C. McCarty, for study; Bth, Miss E. Kilfoyle.for catechism. ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST'S SUPERIOR SCHOOL. The examination of the pupils of St. John the Baptist'* .Superior School, took place in the afternoon. A platform was erected to raise the pupils under examination, so that they could be observed by all present, and over the platform was the motto "A loving welcome to our beloved Bishop." The school room wub crowded almost to suffocation by parents and friends of the pupils. A p'uno duet, played by Mi«*Bes Avey, Courtayne, Yates, and Fallon, opened the proceedings. Miss A.
