The County Solicitor has informed the Southland Council that, no provision having been made in the new Liceusing Bill, therefore no license fees were necessary for keepers of billiard and bagatelle tables. During the past mouth fifteen cattle belonging to one settler have been run over and killed on the unfenued railway line between luvercargill and the Bluff. A r.trange feature of the accident is that nearly ill the cattle are run over in daj light ~
