Yesterday's proceedings at the Kingite meeting were of a more business-like character than hitherto, and towards the close of the proceedings a vote was actually taken, on the motion of Paul of Orakei, on the propositions of Tawhiap against selling, leasing, &c. Tawhiao is making anxious efforts to get all his people to act together under him, aud to keep the pledges they made to his father Potatau. To do this, however, he has to profess that it is only temporary, till some clear understanding is come to, and to commit to Te Wheoro some kind of commission to deal with the Government. The meeting at Whatiwhatihoe is evidently drawing to a close.
