New Zealahd Herald Office, Monday evening. The duties collected to-day were £1081 18s Bd. The valuable freehold property at BLingsland, on the New North-road, at present in the occupation of Mr. John McElwain, wag put up foi sale at Messrß. Cochrane and Son's auction mart to-day. There were numerous buyers, and biJding wns at times rather animated. Th« following allotments were disposed ofNos, 1 and 2, £2 7s per foot; 3, £2 ;4, with cottagc thereon, £135; lots 5, 6, and 7, £1 14s pei foot; 4, 5, and 6, 17s ; 51, 52,- 100, and 101, £1 2s; 102, 103, 147, and 148, los ; 104, 105, 106, 10s 6d; 75, £1 Is ; 76, £1; ?4 and 124, 16s; 48, £1; 49 and 50, £1 4s; 54, 16s. The remaining allotments are open for private treatment of the auctioneers, Fort-street. At Messrs. B. Tonks and Co.'s salerooms to day, a 14-inch and a 20-inch hawser were dis posed of tinder the hammer at £35 each.
